Birdcage.
|
This simple birdcage can work with many different styles, thanks to the vast selection of fake florals! Originally purchased at Homegoods to serve as a card box, it has been decorated rustic style for a fall wedding on a herb farm, glammed up for a garden themed spring shower and simple signs were hung from it to encourage guests to place their cards inside at a backyard tented reception. We even removed the base and decorated it to fit the theme of a victorian style summer wedding at the historic Hotel Northampton!

Date Night Box.
A variation of the popular "date night jar," I transformed a wooden shadow box into a keepsake for this couples' wedding shower! With a photo from their engagement, I lined the back of the box and painted it to match their wedding theme. At the shower, guests wrote on small wooden hearts both date ideas and well-wishes to the couple. This is a piece the new Mr. & Mrs. can hang in their home and periodically peruse through with fond memories and fun words from friends and family.

Aht.

To give life to this boring dining room, I set out to create a unique and exciting statement wall! A single Tchotchke Shelf from The Container Store and wooden letters from AC Moore were purchased. From painting the canvases ombre, to creating my own templates to slice from, simple craft store canvases are now a focal point of this space.

Cards.
Do you have a pile of Holiday cards from last year still? A box of cards from years past you don't want to throw out but don't want to look at? All you need is a pair of scissors and a hole punch and you can give cards new life as gift tags! If you want to get fancy, you can try designed scissors, paper punches and even layering with colored paper! Here are some examples:
